Solar Dynamics sought to improve the efficiency of their thin-film solar cell annealing process.

The primary issue was temperature non-uniformity over large surface areas, which affected the overall energy conversion rate of the cells.

We provided a multi-zone TF Series tube furnace with custom gas injection. This achieved ±1°C uniformity across the entire processing zone, leading to a 2% boost in cell efficiency.
